yes definitely! But of course.... Judai is still Judai. He still loves dueling despite people using it as a means of destroying the world. I really loved his character development... and I felt the damage he took from Season 3.. and I was just happy that he retrieved his passion back on Season 4... …You kinda miss the half point though. By the end, while he matures and grows, he also learns to remember his roots and to not forget his convictions. He's the same guy we know from the first episode, he just knows more about the world.That's why GX is my favorite Yu gi oh, you can see Judai/Jaden become an adult, it's like seeing a part of his life and maybe some people will not forget that at some point they have been a child that enjoyed little things and didn't take some stuff too seriously.I think about it in a little different way: Yudai's character became more likely an hero one: learning the truth, protecting everyone and becoming a ghost that looks over others , that can be also considered a reference to his deck.The main point is that every YGO show has its own message, it goes deeper than just a kids card game. We all enjoy dueling and giant monster battles, but in the end we connect with the protagonists, grow with them and learn something new about life. Thats why we love Yugioh. -

Season 2 is kind of shit and season 1 is eh. But man, season 3 is just fantastic. And season 4 is excellent too when you ignore the pacing issues.People only think gx was the worst because of the 4kids dub and how season 4 wasn’t picked up much since it stopped at 3 and before crunchyroll some subs weren’t spot onI feel like every saga has their strengths and weaknesses so there isn't an overall worst saga. It's how everybody else perceives it. Some people think differently than others. I personally enjoy all the sagas even with their flaws as they always bring something different to the table.Blame 4KidsGx change suddenly they tone from fun duel became surviving duel -

2010-07-18Even in Japanese, the lyrics are so heartwarming. My personal favourites, translated, are:" I look into your face; while you look into space, I don't know what but something's shrouded your smiling face. It’s exactly what Jaden went through too in this arcAnd it symbolizes Jaden and Yubel. Jaden sent Yubel ihto space so Yubel looks into Jadens face while Jaden looks up into space where Yubel is. And Yubel being unable to contact Jaden anymore both feel pain and sadness.It's really a beautiful song. I felt yugioh had a lot of weak Ed's and ops but gx hit different. 2025-11-18This song is what inspired me to start learning Japanese as a Yu-Gi-Oh! obsessed tween waiting for new GX episode parts to be uploaded onto YouTube. Now almost 20 years later, I'm a professional Japanese media translator. Yu-Gi-Oh! truly shaped the entire course of my life. I cannot begin to thank Kazuki Takahashi enough for this gift and lament that I'll never get the chance to do so.

GX was about findin fun in life and keepin that spirit alive, even if odds are against u or if life and the universe seems cruel. This is why i love it as much as the original series😁 In the end, Judai never lost his fun in dueling. And that's what made it unique and worthy of being part of the YuGi…Facts, they should have something out with him as an adult or after the series endedIt really is.Probably because the dub made it too much towards comedySimple. Cause 5D's exists.... sorry -
