I feel like the show was suppose to end with both of the main characters during, one from his past catching up with him in a way he couldn't foresee or avoid and the other sacrificing himself to take down an opponent he couldn't defeat otherwise. Then the third main character has no choice but move …It's the anime version of Firefly. Great music can break through language barrier, so wonderful as if the melody is painting the sound.Music in a language you don't understand causes you to hear all the sounds without thinking about the meaning of the lyricsI speak Japanese; trust it's just as beautiful on this side too. I don't, so many popular animes end up getting renewed forever long after the writers have run out of ideas and it gets boring and convoluted. I think that Samurai Champloo ending quickly made it more impactful.I finally got around to watching it for the first time several months ago and I had the very same thought after finishing it.
