Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone. is a theatrical anime directed and written by Hideaki Anno, released on September 1, 2007, marking the debut work of Khara, the new studio Anno founded. Coming twelve years after the TV series Neon Genesis Evangelion, which became a social phenomenon after its 1995 broadcast, this film is the first installment of a four-part theatrical reboot made for a new generation of fans.
