It one of the most amazing anime in history, and for me its what really got me into anime to be completely honest. I kinda wish they'd add to it but instead we got a live action movie where you can tell none of the actors even looked at the original source material except one or twoIt is the greatest example of a Stand Alone Complex and the irony sends chills down my spine.It’s amazingThat's because the singer died not too long ago, (2015), I think basically they are doing as a momento or something like that,This show was ahead of his time, it's difficult to find something about cyberpunk that is much so powerful (if you have any idea you're welcome 👍) the only thing that intrigues me is the video game Cyberpunk 2077 🙂 there's a lot of potencial with it! -

Friend of mine, also a GiTS fan, just told me. I can't believe this, but I can barely hold tears. Just how many times I've listened to these songs on GiTS soundtracks, I fell in love with this music, she was so talented, and wasn't much younger than my own mother. Such a shame, but her art will live…Wait she died?!Just read the news now. Felt like part of me vanished, never to return, since I love Ghost In The Shell and its music was always one of the best parts of it. RIP Olga Yakovleva AKA Origa.I had heard rumours that she would be involved with the GITS live-action movie, but now.... this is just sad. 2022-07-17When I was a child WHO DIDNT KNOW WHAT ANIME WAS My dad happened to be a truck driver who brought home random DVDs on the road for us to watch while with him on a DVD player, and the entire first season of Ghost in the Shell happened to be what I got one day and now I’m a huge anime geek, enjoying this nostalgic moment

2015-07-17I can't believe this woman is dead. I discovered Ghost in the Shell, Origa, Yoko Kanno, Ilaria Graziano... through this amazing show. It goes beyond the show. It is about beautiful music. 2015-07-17I remember being a little kid and hearing this theme on Adult Swim before I turned the channel. I was way too late into the show to actually make sense of it, so I never watched it, but I always made sure to watch the entire intro before I turned the channel. I also did the same for Cowboy Bebop. Guess it's time for me to actually watch the damn thing...

No regrets!Gabriel Marques space ghost, coast to coast. that show as a kid was an eye-opening experience for sure.Interestingly, I would essentially do the exact same thing. Except in my case I would already be asleep by the time GiTS came on (2 am). However, I would wake up on time just to watch the intro and then go back to sleep. 2016-07-17"Inner Universe" was wonderfully composed by Yoko Kanno and absolutely beautifully performed and co-written by Origa. I have just now learned of her passing, and I can't say that I am not very sad to know this. When I first heard this song on the English version of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex when I was in my pre-teens, I was instantly in love with it, even though I didn't understand a word. But after that, I was determined to learn Russian and REALLY listen to it. It took me 3 years…

2025-07-17My friends. Today, I've been to a music festival in Yokohama Japan. SEATBELTS led by Yoko Kanno was on the live stage after more than a decade of slumber. And guess what, Inner universe was played by a chour unit, piano solo of Yoko Kanno herself, and recorded voice of Origa. I cried. It was as if Origa's ghost is still alive somewhere in the vast sea of the net and Kanno-san called her on the stage for but a moment. Thank you, thank you so much Origa and Yoko Kanno. This song will never die…
